Leadership Offsites & Retreats

Leadership Offsites & Retreats

Get away from the day-to-day. Come back clear on what’s next.

The biggest conversations rarely fit into a weekly meeting.

A well-designed offsite gives your leadership team the time and focus to step back, reconnect, and settle the questions that keep getting pushed to next week.

I design and facilitate leadership offsites and retreats around your team’s purpose, priorities, and the results you need.

Why an offsite

Make the time away count.

Getting away gives your team a chance to think. Thoughtful design and facilitation turn that time into progress.

An offsite can help your leadership team:

  • Align on direction and priorities for the year ahead.
  • Work through a big decision or competing perspectives.
  • Strengthen trust and working relationships.
  • Clarify roles, decision rights, and expectations.
  • Prepare for growth, change, or a new strategy.
  • Leave with clear owners and next steps.

Formats

Shaped around what your team needs.

From a focused day to a longer retreat, each offsite is built around your goals. Common formats include:

  • Leadership team offsites: direction, priorities, and how the team works together.
  • Strategic planning retreats: dedicated time to set direction and agree on what comes first. Strategic Planning →
  • Board retreats: time for boards to step back from regular business and look ahead.
  • Team development: sessions built on the six Swerve leadership practices, with a keynote or workshop where it fits.

The agenda should serve the work your team needs to do.

The process

Designed for your team and its context.

Begin with purpose.

We clarify why you’re bringing the team together, what needs attention, and what a great outcome looks like.

Shape the experience.

I design the agenda and facilitation approach around your goals, your people, and the time you have, gathering input from participants beforehand where it helps.

Tackle the big questions.

The session balances structure with time for reflection, candid conversation, and decision-making.

Finish with clarity.

You leave with decisions, owners, and next steps, so the work carries on once everyone is back.

Canmore & the Bow Valley

A different setting for a different perspective.

Canmore is home base for Swerve. If you’re bringing your team to the mountains, I can work with you here in person. Offsites can also run at your location.

My focus is the design and facilitation. Venue, accommodation, catering, and activities are arranged separately, and I’m glad to work alongside your team or event planner.

I’ve led teams and guided culture and change work inside large organizations, so I design days that respect people’s time and end in decisions.

Leadership Check-In

Take a few minutes to check in.

Twelve questions across six leadership practices to help you notice where you’re strongest and where to focus next.
