Leadership Development & Facilitation

Leadership Development & Facilitation

Leadership is built through practice.

Strong leadership grows through reflection, feedback, and a willingness to approach familiar challenges differently.

Swerve partners with organizations to develop leaders, strengthen teams, and facilitate the conversations that help people work more effectively together.

Programs and sessions are shaped around your people, your context, and the challenges you need to address.

Leadership development

Develop the leadership your organization needs.

Programs serve everyone from people stepping into leadership for the first time to experienced executives navigating greater complexity. Each one builds on the six Swerve leadership practices:

  • Know your compass: self-awareness, strengths, style, and presence.
  • Keep your footing: leading well under pressure, without burning out.
  • Choose your route: priorities, judgment, and confident decisions.
  • Share the map: communication, feedback, and the hard conversations.
  • Build your crew: coaching, trust, accountability, and team culture.
  • Make headway: leading change and turning plans into results.

Formats

Programs and sessions that fit how your organization works.

Work can happen in person in Canmore and beyond, or virtually, as a single session on an important topic or a series that builds over time.

  • Leadership development programs and cohorts: a series of sessions that builds skills and confidence over time.
  • Workshops: focused half-day or full-day sessions on a specific leadership topic.
  • Webinars: virtual sessions for larger or distributed groups.
  • Keynotes: talks that open a conference, leadership event, or retreat.
  • Facilitated sessions: leadership team conversations, planning sessions, focus groups, and consultations.

Grounded in research. Built for the real work your leaders do.

Facilitation

Facilitation that moves conversations forward.

Sometimes a group needs a different kind of conversation.

It needs a clear purpose, a thoughtful process, and a chance for people to explore different perspectives, work through tensions, and make decisions together.

Facilitation can support leadership teams and groups working through strategic questions, organizational change, team effectiveness, or other complex challenges.

My role is to design and guide a process that helps the group focus, participate meaningfully, and make progress toward its objectives.

The process

Designed around your context.

Understand the need.

We discuss the challenge, the people involved, and what you want the work to achieve.

Design the experience.

We shape the session or program around the audience, desired outcomes, and practical realities of your organization.

Facilitate learning and conversation.

Sessions blend participation, reflection, discussion, and the work needed to move forward.

Connect the experience to action.

We identify relevant takeaways and next steps, with follow-up or supporting materials agreed on as part of the scope.

My approach

Practical and people-centred.

I design programs in partnership with you. I start from your goals and your context, and I bring experience leading teams and delivering the work inside complex organizations.

Everything draws on research and comes with practical tools leaders can use the next day.

In the room, I bring a steady, engaging presence that helps people participate fully, say what needs saying, and leave with commitments they’ll act on.
